I realized after I updated my blog about 45 seconds ago that I really wanted to change the look. I felt this was a bit easier to read plus I just wanted a change. I like to keep things interesting. I may change it later anyways if I decide I don't like this design enough to keep. The layout's the same, I just messed with the background.
Okay, now I'm going to watching those YouTube videos.

Royalty
So, today was the royal wedding. I actually had a friend ask "what royal wedding?" In case anybody else doesn't know, the British one. This is the internet, I recommend using your search engine of choice to look the subject up if you are still confused after this blog post.
First off, congratulations to Prince William and his new bride. I'm sure you're not reading this since you probably have better things to do with your time, but if you are, I hope you two are very happy together. And sorry if I just implied this is a stupid waste of time. I'm the person actually writing this. And very honored, actually, because that means I have royalty reading my blog which would be pretty amazing.
Anyways, the other thing is I wanted to say good luck to Kate. Marrying into royalty can't be easy, I'm sure she's facing a bunch of new restrictions now. Personally, I couldn't handle being such a public figure, but it seems she's holding up well enough. So best of luck to her with that.
Finally, no, I did not watch the coverage of the wedding on T.V. I live in America's central time zone, coverage started at about 3:00 in the morning my time, I had school today and I typically fall asleep somewhere around midnight. I just didn't care enough to get half the sleep before my last day of standardized tests of stupidity, sorry. I was, however, shown some pictures involving some rather interesting hats. That's always fun.
And now I go back to...probably watching videos on YouTube if I'm being honest.

Doctor Who and Annoying School Stuff...I'm so Repetitive
Time for another semi-random post born from boredom and procrastination.
First off, I saw the first part of the season opener for Doctor Who last Sunday. Oh my god, it was incredible. I freaked out quite a bit and am still slightly confused and all GACK! I won't put any spoilers up, I will just say that it was a really amazing and big for a season opener and I'm really glad to have Doctor Who back.
Speaking of the Doctor, my friend has now seen him, twice, in two different regenerations. She's also apparently seen the TARDIS when she was younger. Not only does this prove he's real (well, we're taking it as proof that's it's real, since cosplayers aren't really around in her neighborhood) but also that she's somehow part of the "Whoniverse" and will get to actually meet the Doctor at some point. That is our fan-girl logic.
Also, standardized tests are stupid on so many levels. Some questions are just ridiculous, and the tests are in general way too easy. And the rules we have to follow are a pain in a butt.
Also a pain in the butt is the History A.P. test I need to study for and the multiple projects I should probably be working on right now. Most of them for English class. Writing and analyzing poems and revisiting old papers, fun. *inserts cheesy grin and thumbs up then dies a little bit*

Tests
Seeing as how we're about to enter the last six weeks of the school year my workload is increasing ten-fold. We're approaching our week of extremely stupid, state mandated week of standardized testing. I'm also preparing for an A.P. World History exam with the aid of a gigantic text book I got today and for which I really need to work on my essay writing. Yeah...not so fun.
Also, it feels like today should be Friday. But it's not, which means I have math and English homework to do now instead of messing around for much longer on the internet. Oh well, c'est la vie.
Of course, probably nobody on the internet cares that I have a bunch of tests coming up. I'm mainly writing this as a distraction and because I feel kind of lonely at the moment. That sounds pathetic...it kind of is.
What else...uh...high heels are weird...I need new music.
I've got nothing, my life is not very exciting, sorry.

Something to Start the Weekend
At the hour of seven in the ante meridiem, I rouse myself from my bedstead and must be alert as I journey down to the lower level of my abode by way of a staircase. I procure a vessel full of generic breakfast fare and observe the activity around me, including the seconds flying quickly by. I soon realize I need to leave and make my way to the area where I will be collected by the public transportation vehicle most commonly used in public school systems. However, once there, I see my compatriots relaxing in both the frontal and tail ends of an automobile and must make a decision as to which seat to utilize.
After all, it is the fifth day of the week, better known as Friday, and we have to engage in social interaction and dancing. We’re anticipating the next two days with great joy. We will attend a soiree. Insert repetitive exclamation of merriment.
I reiterate-we, we, we so excited.
-Rebecca Black's Friday as translated by Rachel
I hate this song so much, and I'm so sick of it, but somehow my friend's translation makes it very amusing.

A Pleasant Surprise
I have a very long list of why my dad is such an amazing person...well, a mental one, but still. This is the most recent example. Yesterday he called me down and said to get my home work done because tomorrow we'd be going to see West Side Story.
"I thought you didn't like West Side Story."
"Cal, that is not the right response."
"Yes Mom, sorry."
I was caught off guard. Anyways, while me and my dad both have some issues with the movie version, West Side Story as a stage show was incredible. The set was amazing, especially for when they were rumbling under the highway. The cast, especially the female leads, was great.
While I have some issues with over-choreographed musical violence I think the choreography in the show for the actual dance numbers was fantastic. There were a lot of fun and up-beat numbers, which always seem to stick with me a lot more. Maybe it's because they make me wish I knew how to dance.
All in all I enjoyed this show a lot more than I thought I would. I'm glad I got the chance to see it. And it was great to finally get to go to a show with just me and my dad.
And now I should probably get back to work. That's the problem with planning stuff during a normal, two-day weekend. You just want to be lazy but you don't always get the chance.
