Ok, growing up in Texas, I haven't seen a whole lot of snow. And I know I shouldn't get all hyped up because there's a little bit of ice or snow. But I couldn't help it today. I ran out there with everyone else, and got to catch snow flakes on my tounge for the first time. It made me so happy and excited! And, of course, there were snow ball fights. Huge, epic snow ball fights. I love high school so much!
I guess it just go to show everything needs to be put in perspective. I completely enjoyed myself playing in a thin layer of slushy ice-snow (some of the best we've had in Austin, after 2 days of temperature in the 70s I might add) while someone from the north would think it was no big deal. All the same, snow days are amazing.

Valentine's Day
I never really got Valentine's day. Sure, it's a day to be romantic and sweet and be all boyfriend/girlfriend, etc. But why have a special day for that? Why can't people be sweet and romantic in everyday life? And girls, don't forget it's not all up to the boys to get gifts and make today special. Girls can give that special guy something too. As for asking someone out or proposing on Valentine's day, it's so cliche and over done by now. A day that's special to the couple specifically, like for some special memory, would be better. So happy Valentine's day, enjoy your loved ones, your boyfriend or girlfriend, look forward to a romantic date or a nice gift, but don't limit yourself to a cliche, over-used holiday to be romantic.
