Random Post

I really should be doing homework. I really shouldn't be procrastenating. But I am, again, because I really don't want to do a history project on Kenya. I'm sorry, I'm just not that interested in it at the moment.
I'm trying to get to see my friends more this year as one of my main goals. Normally I'm not good at keeping up with people I don't see everyday. My friend Michi was awesome enough to draw this for me:

It's David Tennant as the Doctor from the British sci-fi show Doctor Who. He's my favorite Doctor. And he has amazing eyebrows. And no, sis, I'm not obsesed. It's a good show and he's a good actor. And I'm good with quotes, that doesn't mean I've memorized every episode!
Right, time to work.

Music Sooths the Savage Beast...Maybe

I was talking to my friend the other day, and we were talking about how people keep what kind of music they like such a secret. She says I'm the only person who gets access to her online play list without her breathing down my neck, skipping over certain songs. And she still has a separate play list for her "weirder" songs. I haven't shared mine with anybody.
Why are people so judgemental about what kind of music you like? One genre of music isn't necessarily better than any other, it's just a matter of what you prefer. And yet people feel like their music is the best, and anybody who likes anything different is weird and/or stupid.
People have the right to listen to what they want. They don't need you giving them grief because you might disagree about what you think is good music. You might like one kind of music, others might not, it doesn't matter. So why don't we leave it at "I won't bother you about what's on your play list, you don't bother me about what's on mine."
It's just music. It's not something to make a big deal out of.
