Commercials that sell?

Am I the only one who notices some weird things that really shouldn't be happening in our commercials? For example, an anti-depresant which can increase suicidal thoughts. Or that medicines seem to have many side effects that the guy at the end of the commercial is saying so fast nobody can keep up? How about the fact that the Dreamie is a super-long blanket and nothing special? Or what about how people know if I really saw their commercial and am calling in time for that special offer "Call in the next 10 minutes and we'll send you..." I mean, really. Can't people sell it to us straight? How do I know it works if you have a paid actor telling me it does. They're actors! They say what they're paid to and convincingly. And why do those guys on the commercials always have to have lound annoying voices? Does shouting make it a better product? "Call now! But wait, there's more!" Give me a break! If you have such a great product, pitch it to me plan and simple so I know it works. Callie

  1. LOL, we were totally talking about this at lunch the other day, so you're not alone. And have you seen the commercial that says "If you, or someone you know, has committed suicide..."? XD

  2. Yes I have. "Yes, hello, I committed suicide the other day after taking your product. How much am I entitled to again?"
